If you want to arrange for a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are cardboard boxes. Our charge for direct cremation (without any attendant rites or ceremonies) includes services of the funeral director and staff plus: local transfer from the place of death; shelter of the remains; cremation and processing.

 Step 1- Choose Status

For "At-Need" arrangements (a death has occurred) the nearest next of Kin is in this order or combination thereof:

  • Spouse
  • Adult Children
  • Parents or Guardian
  • Siblings
  • Executors
  • Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care (in some states)

  • For "Pre-Need" (a death has not occurred) the person for whom the cremations is for, is the highest source. However, one can arrange cremations for a person if that person arranging cremation would become the legal authority when death occurs.

    Example:

A child or children can pre-arrange and pre-pay for the cremation of a Parent, Grandparent or other relative if they have the authority to do so.
